I love plum blossoms and especially cherry blossoms. I am lucky to have a massive plum tree in my yards the blossoms are busting out. Today was a beautiful spring day and I spent the afternoon with one of my oldest and dearest friends enjoying the sun and eating fish and chips by the ocean. It’s was a lovely afternoon. Thanks Don.
Well my first week of quitting sugar is over. It has gone really great. I am still on the easy beginning part and I think week 3 is the really tough one. In the meanwhile I will enjoy where I am at. This coming week I need to eat more fat and protein. You ripper I love protein and I don’t mind beefing it up at all.
This weeks break down of things that I probably shouldn’t of eaten. I finished off my decaff cappuccino sachets that came in at 5.5 grams of sugar per 100 grams (you shouldn’t have anything over 5 grams). I had tartar sauce with my fish and chips today. I am still eating fruit but I don’t have to quit that until week 3 (this gets reintroduced again).
Celebrations and what I am loving – Today I didn’t eat the ice cream after lunch, which I would usually do as I love ice cream. I don’t feel guilty for eating the fish and chips. I didn’t have any of the morning tea on Friday at work as there was nothing I could eat and lucky Friday is my duty day. I have not eaten any chocolate or lollies. I didn’t have any of the chocolate covered honeycomb at my Mum’s place. I have made a couple of the recipes from the I Quit Sugar book and they have turned out fantastic and I am feeling very motivated about what I am doing.
Sarah shared a link on her page of a segment on Catalyst. It’s a very informative watch, watch it if you can.
Looking forward to another week on my sugar free journey.
