Here is my first sugar free cheesecake. I used the recipe from I Quit Sugar By Sarah Wilson but I can’t find rice malt syrup anywhere so I used glucose syrup instead. It has turned out great. I felt really good making it and knowing what was in it. That it’s all good stuff. I am really looking forward to dessert tonight. The base is made out of pistachio’s I mean who doesn’t like pistachio’s, you beauty.
Yesterday we had a chat from a financial advisor promoting his company we had to fill in a survey and you could win a bottle of wine. Well I won….. wicked but I decided that while I was doing the I Quit Sugar I would lay off the alcohol for the 8 weeks as well. It least I have a great bottle of wine to crack open at the end and celebrate my new sugar free life. It was funny last week I was speaking to one of my best mates and telling her how I was quitting sugar, having a break from alcohol and I have cut back my caffeine to one cup of tea per day and all the rest decaff. She said “I won’t be coming to your place….boring!” LOL. My new healthy life sounds shocking but I am loving it and feeling very motivated with being healthy. I certainly won’t be giving up the grog for good as I do love a cold beer in the summer and a lovely red in the winter.
Have a wonderful weekend.
